A Big Lie Running Your Entire Life

By Evan Sanders

Seriously?

There's a big lie that everyone believes in that causes so much pain and discomfort. Problem is, most people don't even know they are taking part in it.

Don't worry. It's not your fault.

This lie touches everyones life and no one is free from its grasp.

I'm here to tell you what that lie is and how knowing about it can literally change your life.

Not joking. How do I know? It changed mine.

Here's the BIG lie: there's an island where it all turns out.

Let me explain further.

If you can take a second to think of your "future" and all of the great things that live in that place...you are entering into the place of "the land where it all turns out." When you think of this place, often you will start to feel warm fuzzy feelings of happiness. You've arrived.

Unfortunately, this place doesn't exist.

It's a mirage.

What makes this mirage so impossibly sexy is that you believe that your happiness lives there. That alone will keep you rowing your boat as much as you possibly can.

But it gets worse. It's not just about rowing your boat to an imaginary place that's bad, it's about what this mentality brings out in you. Living this way makes you strive on a timeline to achieve something and makes you incredibly narrow minded. Everything is about progress. Everything must go "according to plan."

When you are constantly rowing towards the future, you forget to connect with the present moment and fear, worry, and doubt start to crawl into your life.

AND THIS IS EXHAUSTING.

Most people in this world never get the chance to really understand that they are living this way and that they are stuck in a cycle that is incredibly hard to break out of. If they do stop and look around for a while, they quickly get back in their boat because they believe their happiness lives in the future.

Ever heard of mid-life crisis? Bingo.

What is the shift that needs to take place in order for you to exit out of this way of thinking?

Be an amoeba. A what?! Yes, an amoeba...you know those ever-shifting microscopic creatures that you probably studied in some science class along the way? Ok I guess I'll have to explain further.

Start viewing your life as a very fluid and shifting thing. When you can see life this way, you step out of everything being very black and white and see the world for what it truly is...colorful.

It gets even better.

When you start living in this way the best sides of you are brought out and you can truly live in the present moment.

So exit the future and start living in the present moment. Take your endlessly rowing oars out of the water and start enjoying what's actually going on around you. Truth is, you can only exist in the present moment anyways.

If you can grasp this concept, and really slow down a bit to understand just how much you've been rowing in your boat, you will see incredible changes in your life. You will connect with people more, connect with yourself, become more grounded, allow happiness to find you in the moment, and a slew of other fantastic things.

There's no telling what's possible for you.

Ask yourself right now, "What's actually here? What's really going on?"

End your rowing.
