Ways Christian Churches In Las Vegas Treat Their Visitors

By Donna Miller

Churches are striving to make sure that they have gotten maximum numbers of members. This is unfortunate because people who are searching for a home church, get lost in the crowd and the marketing. Attending a church should be something that people do to worship God and not about the number of individuals who attend. Here are ways in which Christian Churches in Las Vegas can cater for their guests.

Treating the visitors in a way that will make them feel genuinely welcome is a way of extending the love of God to others. Visitors will become brothers and sisters in Christ so they should be taken care of as family. Treating visitors well will not guarantee you of their coming back to the church, but will also determine whether they will choose to go on in the quest about Gods teaching.

The good news is that there are things that can be done to the guests so that they end up feeling like a part of the church. If the church and the member practice this, then they will ensure that the guests are not only welcomed, but they will also want to feel like the part of the family.

One of the approaches that you can do this has an usher at the entrance who will welcome the guests as they come in. The person doing this must understand that people of various ages need to be addressed differently. They should also not waste a lot of time engaging with unnecessary chitchats. The best things that they can do are to make sure that the visitor feels welcomed and knows where to go. Other than that, they should hand over any flyers that give the church program at that point.

It is important for a church to have a visitor center, particularly on Sundays. This center should have few friendly church members. Do not just direct the visitors where to go, take the imitative and take them there. The visitor can have stress maneuvering their way around the church since it is an unfamiliar place. Escorting the visitor increases personal touch and makes them get the feeling that they are important to you.

When you have visitors, you need to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible. One of the techniques that you can do this is by making sure those who are welcoming the guests have nametags. You can also have some church volunteers putting nametags so that they can stand out of the crowd and make sure that the guests are comfortable and they know whom they should approach.

Demonstrating sincere interest to the visitors will definitely go a long way. You can ask a few questions in getting to know them, however, do not grill them. Always be on the lookout for signs of being uneasy. While some visitors will be an open book, others will prefer to stay private, at least till they get acquainted with the person. Keep the questions very basic. Ask questions that show your interest but do not be very intrusive.

The next important thing is to do a follow up on the guests. Have them leave the contact and call them to inform them that you enjoyed their company. Do not overdo it or appear as though you are stalking them.
