Twenty Six - Popular Cheerleader Halloween Costumes: Sporting Fun For Male And Female Alike

By Jacob Jack

You don't have to be a fan of the sport of football to enjoy cheerleader Halloween costumes this Halloween. And it is not just the women; men are still wearing a lot of cheerleader uniforms as well. You too can have fun this year by exploring the possibilities as you pick from a plethora of Dallas Cheerleader Halloween Costumes available.

There are some basics you need to keep up with for this year's cheerleader Halloween costumes. Of course you already know each hand must hold a pom pom. When it comes to colors, there are no hard and fast rules, cheerleaders wear all different shades. You could dress up in Dallas cowboy colors or come up with something else more unique for your design.

Usually all a cheerleader uniform has a certain color scheme which include two base colors. These two colors are normally contrasting; choosing these two for your cheerleader Halloween costumes may be the first decision you'll make. You can pick from your own favorite colors if you make your own; if choosing from the rack you may be more limited to what is available.

While the traditional cheerleader pulls up images of a bubbly personality walking around with her Dallas cowboy styled jock, this isn't the only image you can portray. Cheerleader Halloween costumes don't have to be like what you're used to seeing at other parts of the year. You could have a gothic cheerleader to add a darker twist. To do this you may want to select more somber colors for you outfit and pom pom. Imagine a cheerleader dressed in a black leather mini outfit with studs, wouldn't that be different?

The benefit of the cheerleader costume is that it is generally comfortable because it does not require any massive head-covering masks or weighty pieces. The most inconvenient piece you may add would be a wig. However, the wig is purely optional. A simple tight shirt and short skirt will work just fine. How much farther you take it is completely up to you.

Accessorize or adding embellishments can really help you stand out among all the other cheerleader Halloween costumes this year. Placing your hair in pigtails with cute ribbons tired around each one will add extra flair to your costume. What about placing some neon shade of polish on your nails since your hands will be on display as you throw your pom pom around? If you were doing the gothic look the shade of nail polish would probably switch to black to match the theme of the outfit. Either way you go, adding personal stand out elements can help bring the outfit to life.

Find a football player at the Halloween party and flirt like there's no tomorrow, as long as it won't end up with you getting in trouble with a jealous spouse or significant other. This is even more entertaining when you are a cross dressing as a cheerleader. Always be sure that the person you ""flirt' with will take it with good humor! It is not recommended to jokingly flirt with strangers.

Go ahead and peruse through the selection of cheerleader Halloween costumes available for purchase this year. You may decide to place your own made up team "logo" on your sweater. Another idea is to come up with special cheers to stand out from any other cheerleader Halloween costumes being worn by others (not everyone will go through the extra trouble). Keep in mind that this Halloween, cheerleader Halloween costumes are still a major player when it comes to being a top outfit choice! Edited by Hetsil Protage
