In most cases, a certain group of people are community is likely to occupy a certain location for generations. Some occurrences may take place that force such communities to vacate or be moved from such regions by all means. Most of these causes are natural and cannot be prevented despite all the measures that could have been put in place. Among the reasons that would result to Ashford settlement are looked into below.

The state of structures found within a given region can force the relevant authorities to settle the occupants to regions with more secure one. Such structures will include those that have been used for a long period of time and have shown signs of collapsing. Others will include the poorly constructed ones or those that are in dangerous places such as river banks and swamps.

Among the activities that take place in a given region could be mining by use of heavy machinery. The vibration they cause on the depth of the mines is likely to mess with ground stability. This results to many openings occurring naturally which could be very dangerous to those living in such a region.

Sink holes are common in many regions of the world. They may occur naturally or be facilitated by certain human activities. Natural causes leading to them include underground erosion caused by underground water. They can appear at any given place and time when least expected. Some are too deep and dangerous. Settlement is carried out immediately they occur to ensure that no harm is caused.

Industries have been on the rise as a result of the increased human activities of productions. Some of the products being manufactured are made using chemicals. Toxic substances are emitted as exhaust fume and waste. Some chemicals may also get spilled posing a lot of dangers. To contain such a happening, the involved company has to settle those affected before they can effectively contain the damage caused.

Landslides are very dangerous when they occur. They destroy a lot of properties and results to many lives been lost. In the recent times, they are even taking places in regions where they have never been witnessed. They render places that they occur inhabitable and the affected have to get evacuated to other secure areas.

Floods have also seen many being provided with new living places to contain them. They are common in areas that lie within the sea level. Floods are so destructive and are accompanied with other calamities such as drought and disease outbreaks. They have to be dealt with in the best way possible to ensure that no critical damage is witnessed whenever they occur.

Earthquakes are among the most destructive natural calamities especially if they are of high magnitudes. They end up destroying the entire infrastructure and killing lots of people. The most effective way to handle the survivors is to settle them in safe areas where they can be given the care they need and also provided with other necessities.
