Little Known Masonic Regalia And Its Color Meanings

Long ago, people ranked themselves according to their economic status. It has even affected the way they deal with things. Back to the old times where monarchy is the primary way of doing things, they had a special way of determining the status of each other. Their unique style of knowing it can be through the clothes they wore.

Since they were considered as elites in the society, they were bestowed with elegance, prestige, honor and grace with their outfit. Unknowingly, they are trendsetters that the norm wanted to follow. White. Many believed this could be the color of purity. Aside from which, this became what people considered as the one that will symbolize innocence and goodness. Blue. Believe it or not, it became a norm on earth that it signifies the immortality, eternity and prudence of those who wears it. This makes it why there are shades of blue that majestic clans wear to imply their image of their undying dedication in leading their nation with deep ardor. Royals in France even used this as the one for their background to fleur de lis symbol.

Purple. Too many tints were introduced and named due to the distinction of hues seen by our naked eyes, but there is no other color which was picked to represent royalty except purple. This grew as a representation of wealth among the royal families. Aside from that, the same in terms of royalty is emphasized with the robes that priests use for Lent and Advent.

Red. This can sometimes be referred to as crimson, the tint of fire. You know very well that where there is fire, there is heat. And, with the characteristics of heat, you can easily notice how intense it is when it reached your boundaries. Such makes it why it became the color of passion, devotion and self denial. Thus, the perfect defining love like how royals loved their homeland.

Green. Way back to the old times, this has always been existent in the environment. Perhaps, it might be even older than you are. You see, many believed that this represents as the color of life. Such theory solely began because majority of the hues found in nature is of this color. On the other hand, people like the ancient Egyptians, regarded this a tint for hope. Those who wears it sends hope to others, too.

Black. Many hated this. It is because of the common generalization that this color symbolizes death, sorrow and darkness. However, to our little knowledge, there is more to black than just that. It also means elegance. Such began when prominent families chose to use as emphasis on formality, depicting more elegance than any other hues.
