Black And Brown Royal Standard Poodles

By Frank Russell

When it comes to really elegant and classy dogs, people will probably put Poodles on the top. These dogs are really special, looking so proudly and royal. Lately, black and brown royal Standard Poodles became especially popular. This particular variety is the largest of three recognized Poodle varieties, and should be at least fifteen inches high. Even so, most males are much higher, mostly around 25 inches.

These dogs are really elegant, polite and well-behaving. They have a great posture and some kind of an arrogance that cannot be copied. Even so, these dogs are also loving, playful and friendly, and make really nice family dogs. Most people still have them as a sign of prestige, or they are primarily interested in dog shows. The main reason for this is probably the high price of these lovely dogs.

Although they are generally healthy, it's well-known that all purebreds are prone to some genetic diseases. Considering the price, among other things, it is highly advisable to find really respected breeder when buying your dog. This way you will get some kind of a guarantee, at least a limited one, that your pet will be reasonably healthy in years to come, and that his parents didn't have similar genetic diseases.

You can never be absolutely sure that your pet will stay perfectly healthy throughout his life, but some level of insurance is always welcome. If nothing else, this way you will know your dog's parents didn't have genetic diseases, and this is quite important for every dog owner. When you are interested in breeding and dog shows, even more.

Their lovely coats aren't simple to maintain, especially when it comes to conformation shows. It takes some time for their hair to become appropriately textured and long enough for show clipping. Although the most common colors are black and white, these dogs can also be brown, red, silver or cream, and brown and black are especially popular.

Although there are several types of clipping, show clip is probably the most recognizable. It requires high maintenance and people rarely choose this type of clipping if their pets aren't competing in dog shows. It is much easier to choose less demanding clippings that are equally attractive. That's probably the reason for choosing this clipping after dog's show career is over.

Another great advantage these dogs have is the fact their hair mostly don't shed, or shed very little. This makes them perfect pets for people suffering from allergies. In fact, people are allergic to hair dandruff, not on dogs' hair, but the amount of dandruff depends on the shedding level, so, it is basically the same thing, when you think about it. In any case, Poodles won't cause these nasty allergies.

Interesting thing about Poodles is also the fact their skin also comes in different colors. For example, your dog might have silver, cream or pink skin. Another interesting fact is that some dogs will become lighter with ages, while others will keep their original color. It doesn't really matter, both varieties are recognized and approved, as long as they have solid colors. In any case, the color won't fade on their ears and some other areas where the coat has higher density.
