You can have a neighborhood street party. This is especially necessarily when calamity has struck the area. People can donate food and furniture like chairs and tables. Usually, everyone is invited, and it is conducted by one person who acts as the emcee. Different families prepare different meals which are shared by the whole neighborhood.

When you are trying to get rid of all the things you do not need any more you automatically have a garage sale. Having one as a community may rake in loads of money seeing as it will be a big event, people from all over may come to see if they can get something they need. The money acquired can be directed to the cause of the fundraiser which is easier method as you sell what you no longer require.

Car washing, this is popular with high schools and colleges. It is actually a great way to raise money. Everyone wants their car clean, and you are therefore bound to have enough clients as long as you use the right people to do the washing. It seems so much fun when the youth do it hence attracting more clients to the event.

The other option is washing dogs. This is fun for both parties. People love their pets so much that they would pay cash to see them have fun. It can be a play date with the dog followed by cleaning the dogs. After washing and drying them, you can groom them and give them the best possible look. This is a project for professional groomers as a way of raising money.

There is the idea of cloth swapping. This is especially for the female gender. Most ladies like shopping. Imagine shopping without having to spend a dime. You just have to bring out the clothes that you no longer use and hang them on to a rack. Once everyone is done is done choosing, the rest can be donated to the less fortunate.

There is the tip night idea. This is where you ask a local restaurant or cafe to donate their tips to a charity event. They can also donate just a percentage of the profit they make to the charity. This goes a long way in helping the needy. You may also convince them to make free meals for the less fortunate as a way of giving back to the community.

You can have scavenger hunting. Burry the items on the list all over the neighborhood. There should be a small enrollment fee, and the winner may choose to donate all or a part of the price to charity. This is both fun and helpful to the community.
