The Ultimate Guide To Buying A Cavapoo Dogs

By Scott Scott

Puppies are the best companions and can offer outstanding company after a long day at work or school. There are so many breeds that you can consider when buying a pup. Cavapoo dogs have been classified among the best breeds. If you have been searching for the perfect pooch to give you company, this breed will not disappoint. These little fluffy pups are so cute and adorable. You just cannot resist them.

The cavapoo dogs puppies are crossbred between Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Poodle. They have thus acquired charming characteristics from both parents. They are also widely known as Cavoodles. They are very playful and are famous for their family-oriented nature. They have small heads that are round and large eyes. These pups also have silky coats which are curled and ears that are long and floppy. They weigh approximately twelve to twenty-five pounds hence very comfortable for most households.

These pups have a friendly temperament thus they fit so well in a family setting. However, they cannot be considered as guard-dogs, but they show some aggressiveness to strangers. They are therefore very keen on strangers or new people that visit their homes. All in all, they are not violent, and they cannot harm anyone.

The Cavoodles are affectionate to kids, but this depends on how the pups are tamed during the puppy stages. It is however not advisable to leave them unsupervised with children as they can become a little aggressive if they become annoyed too much. Nevertheless, it is wise to teach your children to handle the pups with affection.

Once you dedicate yourself to buy this pup, you must make sure it is exercised daily. Cavoodles are high-energy pooches thus they have to meet their daily energy needs. Since they are very playful, they can easily meet their energy requirements even by playing all day indoors.

Every pet needs grooming, so does the Cavoos. If you feel that the responsibilities may be too many, you should not buy the puppy. These pups have coats that grow very fast, and they can start matting if they are not trimmed often. More so, dirt can accumulate in their fur thus causing infections. The hair should thus be groomed every 4-6 weeks. Nails, eyes, and ears should also be frequently groomed, and the tear stains are removed using specified tear-stain removers. This way, the pup will be clean and healthy.

The most important thing that you must consider is the breeder of the Cavoodle. Ensure that you find a reputable breeder and visit him/her physically. Check whether the breeding conditions are commendable. You can even visit local puppy shows or ask for recommendations from your family and friends. This way, you can find a good breeder.

More factors to consider include the diet of the pup. Luckily, Cavoodles can eat almost anything, but this should not make you neglect its diet. However, never feed the puppy preserved foods as they can develop allergies. To be on the safer side, make sure you ask the breeder about the recommended diet. You can even Google the diet and supplements that will make the pup vibrant and healthy.
