Lucios Just Another Halloween game?

By Tenna Kortly

The truth is I am not one to play these games, and I found it a bit too creepy playing a six-year-old kid who, by the way, look sinister as hell (no pound intended) that runs around and kills people because his devil father, said so, and so he can get telekinesis powers.

Keep in mind while going through this review that I'm not the usual play for these types of games, and if you are in a Halloween mind or just enjoy a horror game every know, and then you will probably enjoy this game.

After you know a bit who I am let's get going with this review as you are born(Luciuos) a pact is being made with the devil and an evil shadow step into your buddy, we then jump off the cinematic into the Denta's mention when Lucius is now at the age of 6 and in this wonderful birthday, your real father comes to visit you, the devil(drums please), he subsequently starts giving you missions to kill people in the mention.

The nany is always the first to go, you start your nice little demonic killing with locking up your nanny in the freezer.

The entire idea of a being an innocent boy to mom and dad, means that if you get caught anywhere doing something weird, you fail your mission, like any good puzzle solving game you need to find items and create situations where your designated victims will die without any obvious relations to you, but as you progress in the game, you will also get powers to help you out.

Every kill you execute correctly will make you stronger, at the start you will have only telekinesis, but after a while you can start throwing fireballs on people.

The game itself has a high level of details with an ok graphic nothing like Skyrim but still enough for this genre and if you consider the high details and the amount of items in the mansion the game gets a bundle of good points.

I always thought of horror type games as somewhat movie like games and it is the atmosphere in the game that should be terrifying, however i found the cutscenes just being to annoying, but then again it might just be me.

The highly level of details also come be and hurts the game in terms of long loading times as you move around the mansion, which can really annoy at times.

Although I don't really like horror games, I can really enjoy a good puzzle. The only problem with Lucius is the fact that there is only one way of solving the puzzle which is quite boring and also disappointing considering the great details the mansion have.

As a new comer for the genre of horror games I found the need to kill a target only in one way and without getting any clues from inside the game, very annoying many times.

The game was made by Shiver Games, and they did a pretty good job with it any fan of the genre will probably eat this game up, but if your new to this type of games or just looking for some Hallowen style games, I will recommend you will try other games before buying this one.
