The Need For Round Bale Hay Net

By Della Monroe

There are areas that experience acute shortages of pasture. This could be as a result of the weather condition in the region or some calamities occurring when least expected. Despite this, people living in such areas are still able to keep animal such as horses and as well manage to feed them. They make use of many pasture preserving methods to make this possible. Round bale hay net is mostly preferred in this case due to the numerous advantages it has proved to have.

Among them is the fact that the hay ensures there will be no wastage of the feeds. This is because it enables a controlled way of feeding. The animal is only in a position of taking a mouthful of the hay at any given time. As a result, there arises no wastage as compared to when the whole bale is availed.

It is also of importance due to the fact that it ensures the safety of the animal is upheld. Hay can be made from different types of pastures. Some of them tend to be very rough and could result to some injuries during the time of feeding. The controlled mode of feeding that bale nets provide eliminates cases of injuries greatly.

Another of its need is the fact that it has made it possible for horse keepers to easily monitor the feeds intake. This comes in handy in that they are in a position of budgeting for the feeds. It has also proved helpful in cases where vet officers give some instructions regarding the amount of hay to be availed at any given time.

Another advantage with the nets is that they have made it possible for a number of horses to share a common hay. They are able to feed from the same bale with ease and without any type of interference. This works best to those who have more than one animal in their farm.

Feed quality is very important. It determines how healthy the animals feeding on it will be. To ensure that the pasture is of quality, such a net is used. This is achieved by the fact that it eliminates cases where contamination arises from the horse stepping or defecating on the stack it is feeding on.

There is a certain amount of weight that an animal is required to have at each stage of its growth. This have to be very carefully monitored. The feed intake control offered by the use of this method has made it possible to achieve this. The owners can comfortably watch the weight of their livestock with ease.

Hay tends to weather if not well kept. This lowers its nutritional content and also results to it being not fit for the animals. To minimize it, use of this control method is advised. The nets will hold the entire bale intact ensuring that it remains moist or in the desired temperatures.
