What One Should Know About Churches That Observe The Sabbath Winnipeg

By Carol Robinson

Christianity has come a long way. It all started in Jerusalem, Israel. After the beginning of Christianity in Israel, the faith spread to other areas including Syria, Egypt, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The spread of Christianity to the Roman Empire marked the beginning of Roman Catholicism which is presently the biggest Christian denomination on planet earth. It has billions of followers. Over the millennia, a number of Christian denominations have been started. The Seventh Day Adventism (SDA) was started in North America. Presently, churches that observe the Sabbath Winnipeg have thousands of followers.

The Sabbath means varied things to different people. To some, it is simply a day of rest. However, many people view it as a day for resting and worshiping. The concept of the Sabbath started with the Jews in the Old Testament. Even up to the present day, it is still observed by Jews in Israel and other countries.

One of the religious ideas which have always drawn a lot of controversy in Judeo-Christian circles is Sabbath day. However, some people have blown this topic out of proportion. That is due to the fact that they have placed a lot of emphasis on just a day instead of thinking about what the believer should carry out on this day.

The day or time of worship is of little or no consequence. At the end of the day, what matters the most is the purpose of worship and the kind of life that an individual lives for the rest of the week. Thus, one should not merely be a Saturday or Sunday believer. There is need to practice righteousness all the days.

It is only holy people who will be able to enter paradise at the end of the ages. On the other hand, the unholy people will be cast into the lake of fire which burns with fury, day and night. The Christian walk should involve a high level of righteousness. One should abide with all the Biblical commandments.

An important step in the life of a believer is baptism. If an unbeliever has decided to turn away from sin and he has repented his sin, he will need to be baptized. The baptism activity will write off the old life and it will mark the start of a new life of salvation. Water baptism is usually the order of the day.

Of course, the Christian walk is not a lone wolf affair. One will require help along the way. Thus, joining a church is vital. One should make sure to attend as many services as possible. The sermon of the clergy will help an individual in his walk of faith. Praise and worship is a crucial activity in a service.

Most humans are religious. The earth has over six billion human beings. Over 5 billion people believe in some kind of religion. Of course, a good portion of believers classify themselves as Christians. That is also the case in Winnipeg, Canada. There are Canadians who are Adventists. These individuals fully believe in the Bible. As a matter of fact, the Bible is the most holiest and powerful book ever written.
