The Various Types And Uses Of Rhinestone Necklaces

By Rachael Gutierrez

Rhinestone necklaces like any other jewelry is decorative items that are worn by people in their or used as part of their clothing. These ornaments are of different categories; there are those worn on the neck, nose, wrist, feet, and ears. Purposely, they are intended to make human beings beautiful although some communities especially in some parts of the Africa use them for religion and cultural practices.

Jewels are decorative items worn by people or attached to their bodies. Some may think that decorative items like flowers are also jewels, but it is not the case. A jewel should be able to last for long unlike flowers that wither within a short period. Most of these items are of a very significant value especially those made from precious stones and minerals.

Ornaments can be obtained from several things. Gem stones can be sculptured to form nice items. Shells, metals, and minerals can also be used to make different jewels. The value of the item made depends on the material used. Metal beads will be cheaper while gold necklaces may be worth millions of money.

There are also chains that can be made from different metals that can be highly valued minerals. They can be made from gold, silver, and diamond and any other metal. The more valued the mineral element is the more the cost of the ornament. However, with them the more expensive they are, the more the people will want to buy them because they want to have it because of the cost.

These ornaments are also used in marriage ceremonies. The bride and bridegroom change their status with rings to show that. The rings will also show their commitment with each other and also the love they feel. It is very common hence you cannot find a wedding where the marrying parties do not exchange rings.

Rings worn by some people in the society are not just any decoration. They have a special meaning between them. They are symbols of engagement for those who are waiting to get married as they show a strong bond between them. Not only are they used for engagement but also for those who are married. Married couples give each other rings to show a commitment to each other to show that they have changed status from single to married.

Most people have the mentality that men should not use jewels at all. Apart from using watches which is their thing, they wear necklaces and also some do earrings. In most parts of the world especially Africa, men use them equally as women as symbols of their culture. Cultural ornaments, however, seem to exaggerate as they are a bit too much. The local communities of Kenya and Tanzania use it to celebrate their traditional events, and they wear them from the ears to the neck and finally the hands and feet.

Rhinestone necklaces is, therefore, necessary mainly for women who believe they cannot be better without them. Prestige, change of status or cultural purposes, they are very significant. We can use them to appreciate our loved ones by issuing them as gifts to them.
