Schools For Dog Obedience Training Kirkland

By Jocelyn Davidson

Dogs really are special creatures. They are gentle and obedient, playful and loyal, the best friends you can imagine. They can really improve the quality of your life and make perfect friends for your children. Of course, they need to be well-trained. Some dogs tend to become too loud, or even aggressive sometimes, but special dog obedience training Kirkland can solve all similar issues.

Everything always starts with beautiful, irresistible puppies you cannot say no to. Dogs need pack hierarchy, they need to have a pack leader. You have to teach them how to behave. In short, you have to train them if you want to have perfect pets. You cannot allow them to do all they can think of, there have to be certain rules.

If you decide to buy your dog from respectable breeder, you will probably get already socialized and well-behaving puppy. It will make things so much easier for you, but you still need to train your new pet. There are some special puppy obedience courses you can attend together. For that, your puppy has to be properly vaccinated, perfectly healthy and at least eight weeks old.

If you already have some experience with dogs, things will be easier for you. You know what to expect and how to deal with this. If this is your first dog, there are some things you need to learn as well. The first lesson is consistency. Your new pet won't understand mixed commands. Be very gentle, but consistent, and learn how to say no.

Older puppies and adult dogs attend different trainings. They are usually already socialized, but have to learn some basics. These trainings are especially useful for dogs that don't obey their owners. They will also soon learn to walk on loose leash and to respond on different verbal commands.

Basic training also includes responding to most common commands. The dog will learn to come to you at your command, to sit down when you tell him so, or to lay down on your command and wait for you there. You will be finally able to take him for a walk without the need of pulling his leash all the time. With one simple command he will walk beside you on a loose leash.

After finishing this basic course, you can also attend more advanced programs. Here, your dog will learn more advanced commands, walking without leash in public, agility trainings or some other interesting stuff, depending on your needs. It is also possible to train him to assist people with disabilities, or even to make him do different tricks. Dogs really enjoy in these trainings, especially because they have an opportunity to spend time with their owners.

Show dogs need to learn how to behave in a crowd, for example. They must be very calm, obedient and quiet. Their perfect behavior is really important. Every dog will enjoy in this special attention. This may be one really great experience for both of you. You will spend great time together, and you'll get one perfectly trained, obedient furry friend you will be proud of.
