Bright Lights And Dark Shadows

By Evan Sanders

Being positive every single day isn't a reality.

If you were positive all of the time, how could people really trust what you were saying? Wouldn't they trust you a little bit more if they heard about your struggles and defeats?

In order to be positive you really have to understand what it's like to go through negative times. When we go through those negatives, it gives us the ability to see how much the positives really matter in our lives. To give this even more perspective, Carl Jung the famous psychologist once wrote, "The brighter the light the darker the shadow." That in itself pretty much sums all of this up.

While I've been on this journey of personal discover and soul searching, I've found out what it truly means to live a life for others and to help people start achieving their dreams.

For years I've been willing to pull a lesson or learning point out of even the worst situations to help provoke thought in others. But what I'd like to share with you is that I am not always positive. Actually I don't ever force myself to be because that only creates inauthenticity.

We all have incredibly dark moments. We all have those times where we are brought down to our knees. In fact, the more we open ourselves up in this world the more we become exposed to everything that could harm us. That's just the nature of living. However, when we do present ourselves as vulnerable beings in front of the world we are given access to incredible feelings and all that the world has to offer us.

We can all find some light in the darkness. We can all try to bring a positive outlook into our lives even though we are going through very dark times. Some days are going to be a lot harder than others and you are going to feel like you can hardly breathe. Keep going. Keep trying.

If we can all take these negative situations of life and find a way to bring them out into the light we can truly create inspiring stories with them. We are all struggling, so to share your story with the world is to share a common story among all of us.

Continue going through the struggle because it will give you access to deep amounts of love.
