With a land area of no less than 75,000 acres, nearly 60 wineries and vineyards in the Lodi wine country have been operating and giving some of the best wine varietals one could ever ask for. This started in 1800s where gold miners realized that grapes are so rich and plentiful that it is almost a sin not to harvest it and turn it into wine. Ever since then, Lodi wineries produce quite a lot of wine cases along with bulk wines that comes out without any label each and every year. Some of their more noted wines are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfadel, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Today, one can see that Lodi Wineries weren't left in the past. With 36 tasting rooms open for all kinds of guests and locals, this is definitely one of the leading wine touring attractions in the USA.

Owned by the Mencarinin Brothers, Abundance Vineyards undeniably has a lot to offer. With Jim Yerkes working on the wine production process, it is well-known for their many varieties of wine such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Dessert wine, Chardonnay, Merlot, Red Blends, Petite Sirah, Sparkling wine, White Blends, Syrah and Zinfandel on top of others. While touring the estate, the visitors can take advantage of the picnic areas, shows and performances there, giving the grandest time to their guests

D'art Wines is also celebrated for its excellent wine and tasting rooms. Their tasting rooms give off an elegant vibe and add a more exquisite experience to your whole visit there. It size is enough to comfortable accommodate big groups of people that are taking advantage of their free wine tasting sessions coupled with some food pairing such as their delicious chocolate chips and chili.

Duckhorn Vineyards is a top-rated boutique winery in Lodi wine country. Its expertise lies in making the most excellent Merlot in the whole region. Built by Dan Duckhorn in 1976, he has manages to consistently increase his yearly production which now totals to over a staggering 20,000 cases. The winery makes rationed single Cabernet Sauvignons and Merlots together with less costly varieties but equally famed Sauvignon Blanc. Mr. Duckhorn was named the "Winemaker of the Year" in 2005 by the San Francisco Chronicle. Upto this day, the vineyard has adopted several different brands onto their wines like the 'Migration' and 'Decoy'.

Established by the Van Ruiten Family, Van Ruiten Family Winery has been leading in terms of success in wine production in the Lodi wine region. Situated in between San Francisco Bay Delta and Sierra Foothills, one can surely adore the pleasant and relaxing climate conditions of Van Ruiten Family Winery. Starting 1999, it has been providing one of the most unique wine experiences in the nation.

Right in the middle of the base of Sierra Nevada and Sacramento- San Joaquin Delta, you can find the marvelous Jessie's Grove Winery. Unlike most wineries in the Lodi wine country, they take advantage of their location and are a spearhead in promoting the development of wine grapes of excellent quality and its production into premium wine varietals.
