Scandinavian furniture designers have developed a great deal of amazing furniture across the period from 1930 to 1960. A good number of this furniture have become highly retro within the last years. In Denmark alone there has been created around 10.000 pieces of various furniture over the last decades.

Today a good deal of this furniture are very well well-known world-wide and are still getting reproduced. The Ox and Y-Chair by Hans J. Wegner, the Swan Chair by Arne Jacobsen are to bring up a number of good examples. Scandinavian furniture design is mostly looked at as minimalistic and functionalistic. IKEA furniture is a good example of this.
