Reality TV & The Possibility Of Adventure Racing

By Robert Sutter

As someone who has seen reality TV in the past, I have come to the conclusion that I am not a tremendous fan. I know that there is a certain crowd that is appealed by these particular shows, so it's not like it's worthless. In fact, those particular shows that have physical competitions to be seen are the ones that I have found myself most entertained by. That being said, if you want to discuss my favorite competition in this regard, you'll want to talk about adventure racing.

Reality TV is not going to be one hundred percent "real," which is something that I have come to terms with. I know that there are producers for these shows and they dictate what happens, for the most part. However, knowing that there are certain men and women behind the curtain of sorts, I am still able to watch through many of these episodes, for the most part. There has to be competition set in place, though, or else my attention won't be kept for long.

I don't know if it would be outside of the realm of thought for these individuals to go about training in some way. After all, it is very easy for individuals who have not been athletically active to go out to compete and become short of breath rather easily. They may not understand the importance of pacing, which can result in fewer strong results in the long term. You have to be able to conserve what you have or else you are only going to do yourself a great disservice.

I think that you should take it upon yourself to become involved in events such as Spartan Race if you are truly serious about this matter. You want to be able to succeed in reality TV and sometimes a certain level of conditioning has to be brought into place. If this is the case for you, I cannot imagine you not getting lost in adventure racing. Just make sure that you are able to hold up well in any of these various physical events.

I think that individuals should be more mindful of what they do in terms of adventure racing, especially if they are going to go about it in strong competitions. This goes for just about anything, whether you are talking about actual races or reality TV. In terms of the latter, I may not be the biggest fan, as I have established before. That being said, I know that there is a certain appeal to it and even now I find myself becoming engrossed by the activity within it.
