Learn How To Become The Pack Leader

We receive many dog training questions but the most asked question is " how to become the pack leader" by far. You will need to become the pack leader to show your dog that you are in charge and not them. As the pack leader you are the decision maker.

You must first understand how dog packs work, then you will realize how important becoming the pack leader is. Do not leave the decision making up to your dog because they will not do was you would like.

If you get your dog to sit before they eat doesn't make you the pack leader. If you own a big house and a nice car, your dog doesn't care about that. They would rather have their favorite treat instead.

One good tip on how to become the pack leader is not to dominate your dog. This type of training can be a problem with their training if you teach them that being physical with them is your training method. Being physical with your dog may force them into obedience by submission, but it you probably won't convince them that you are the pack leader by being a bully.

Every dog in our world will use the same ways to establish who the pack leader is. So how can you learn how to become the pack leader right away ? The first important tip is to always remain calm, no matter how much your dog barks.

When a dog is pulling on their leash during a walk, you are not the pack leader. You will need to establish yourself as the pack leader to stop this type of behavior. Look for some good dog training videos to understand how this can be accomplished.

If you understand how to become the pack leader, then your dog will be able to relax completely inside your house. If your dog cannot relax, then they are the pack leader on duty.

The first step in getting your dog to relax is to understand how you should greet them when you arrive home.
