I think that everyone has the potential to meet their goals if they want them badly enough. However, in order to reach such lofty expectations, I feel like people need to get their feet wet first. They have to be able to learn about what a business is about and, to a greater extent, act within the environment so that they have a taste of what the job is all about. There's no question that when it comes to preparing people for the future, Bob Jain Credit Suisse can do so effectively.

These kinds of programs are helpful for a multitude of reasons. People can earn a taste of what the business world is like and they can work within it, as if they were working alongside the contracted employees on a full-time basis. While it is important to teach potential workers about the job at hand, I think that these very people are going to learn better if they work. It's one of the reasons why I strained to stay awake in classes during school. While I know that the teachers are capable at lecturing and shooting out facts, the truth of the matter is that many people learn better by doing. Sometimes it's not going to be in the best interest of people if they're just sitting and listening.

People can learn about such things within investment banking and this is including - but not limited to - Equities, Fixed Income, and things of that nature. While these may just seem like random words to people coming in, be certain that it's all going to make sense soon enough, provided you put the necessary effort in.

Internships are able to give people what they need in terms of knowledge and, if need be, college credit. Some people will continue to work as interns and it's possible that they will be looked at if job opportunities open up. This is ideal for people who either want to get their foot in the door or expand their resumes so that they don't look as thin.
