Glioblastoma Awareness: What Can It Lead To?

By Rob Sutter

Unless you fully understand how dire a condition is, you may not be able to go into raising awareness for it with everything you have. However, brain growths are ones that deserve your attention and glioblastoma tumors are especially troubling. They stand as the most common of tumors and they can prove to be rather aggressive as well. I believe that awareness for these can be raised and I think it's only a matter of time before the results show themselves.

Raising awareness is something that can be done in a multitude of fashions. I believe that a good number of companies can utilize the art of television and air their commercials for people to watch. I like this idea in terms of the now but as far as the future goes, they aren't going to last. They are only about half a minute to one minute, at the most, after all. In my mind, these resources are better spent going about other methods so that the message sticks longer.

One of the instances that I can see such actions of companies being promoted is through social media. Businesses have done well in incorporating these networking sites so that their own messages would be spread across the board. After all, companies the likes of V.A.B.C. have been successful in incorporating many methods to raise awareness, for events where people can gather in order to fight for a common cause. I think that glioblastoma awareness can only be bettered by these strong organizations.

It's easy to say that simply gathering people in an area will work to raise awareness on a cause but I think we can take a couple of steps further on the matter. People should be able to compensate the cause in certain ways, too. For instance, let's say that everyone in a group has one dollar on them to donate. Now, expand that group by a good few thousand people. Suddenly, a few thousand can make a world of difference, can't it?

There's no question that there's a level of complexity to be seen with brain tumors. As a result, cures are tougher to research for but I don't think that it should be a case written off as impossible. In fact, I believe that if people stick with this and put forth the best effort imaginable, success will occur. Whether it's constant TV ads or well-done social media actions, the truth of the matter is that this cause is deserving of a solid solution being uncovered.
