What Must I Do if my Ex is Dating Someone Else? Don't Worry, it's Not Hopeless

By Clay Andrews

Considering how hard life is already, going through a break up would only add to the burden.

Relationships are precious and when it breaks up, it can be very hard on us. The only way this could get worse is if your ex is dating someone else. If you are experiencing this then following may be some of the questions you want to ask.

Q: Just realized my ex is dating someone else. Is there still a chance for us? A: The answer is yes - if your relationship with your ex lasted for a long time. Chances are your ex is still thinking of you even if they are with someone else. Intimacy takes a long time to establish.

The new relationship will eventually suffer as your ex is not yet over the past one they had with you. This is why most rebound relationships abruptly end as people are not yet emotionally ready for a new commitment.

Q: I heard that my ex is dating someone else and that it was serious. How can my ex move on so fast like that? A: It's actual normal for people to enter a new relationship and bring it into the same level of intimacy as their old one. Simply put, they are using a new partner to continue the broken relationship.

This could only result to a bad ending as the wounds from the previous relationship hasn't healed yet.

Q: Even thought my ex is dating someone else, can I still get them back? A: You and your partner used to be crazy with each other until problems start to come in which destroyed your relationship. The negative emotions that caused the relationship break up are still present. No matter how happy your ex may look, you still spent longer periods with them compared to the new partner.

No matter how hard it is to think "my ex is dating someone else" the fact is that they still care for you little bit. It takes a long time for intimacy to grow. Your ex would also be comparing you and their new partner constantly. This would cause more problems for the current relationship.
