Where is your prayer closet? Do you have a quiet place where you and God connect every day? If not, you should claim one!
Jesus, during his time on Earth, would go up to a mountain just before dawn each day to have an intimate discussion with His Father. We believe that these conversations helped Jesus remember himself as God while living in a human form. He talked everything over with the Father, and this gave him clarity, purpose and direction. If
The Bible is the composed Word of God. This is what it says in 2nd Timothy 2:15 --"Study to reveal yourself authorized unto God as a workman that needeth not to be embarrassed, rightly dividing the Word of fact." Additionally, God contacts us through our Spirit. He imparted to us our Spirit when we asked the Holy Spirit to come and fill us up, as Acts 2 explains. Our Spirit is the "still little voice" that Scripture has explained to us. Let me ask you, are you hearing the still little voice in your own life?
There is something you have to do in order to enable God to connect with you through the manifestation of His still little voice: First, you should know Him through the Bible. God will never ever contradict what He has said in the Bible. So you must know what is in the Bible, otherwise you will not if you are able to hear his still small voice-or if, in fact, you are listening to your own voice, your conscience or demons whispering to you.
One mistake we can make in trying to discern God's quieter voice in our hearts is to believe that his modern "prophets" can speak to us for Him. And while that's true in the cases of godly prophets who only use what confirms His Word, there are plenty of false prophets who can easily lead us astray. Jesus warned that they would proliferate in the last days.
Joel Osteen, for example, has written a book called "Your Best Life Now." But who can describe your best life now when you are in fact a citizen of heaven itself? Then there is Rick Warren, who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. This shows right away that his ultimate cooperation has actually been purchased by the worldly powers that be. This is made even more obvious by the fact that he is an adviser to previous President Bill Clinton along with serving as an adviser to the Universalist One Faith Foundation developed by previous U.K. Prime Minister, Tony Blair. My prayer through the years and in and clean these false prophets who set these men learn to repent for leading the church so far astray.
