By Amy Smuart

Much of the things we consume as people is placed into different sections according to the nutritional value it contains. This is a lot like the things dogs will consume. They also have different categories for whatever it is they eat. Homemade dog food recipes will help you in getting your dog to eat more healthily and to enjoy what they consume. Different things can be consumed by a dog however this must be known to you as the pet owner.

A person can give their dog uncooked consumables. The meat and bones that you give should be real. Much like us as humans, these animals have their own dietary needs and will want different things to what may be available. This is because they are carnivores whereas we are omnivorous animals.

Now, a lot of people may worry that their pet is not able to eat uncooked meat. This is not a problem for them. Our systems cannot digest raw substances however a dog's digestive system can do this without getting any disease or illness like we do.

Some of the great things that come from providing your pet with this type of nutrition is that when meat hasn't't been cooked it retains all of its minerals and vitamins that it has. Water is also retained in this way and gives the pet most of the water it needs for the day.

Dog edibles that are bought have the disadvantage of creating illness in the dog. This is as a result of it having things like corn, soy and wheat which aren't good for your pet. People who specialise in homemade dog have recommended that all grains should be taken out of a dog's diet because it is not good for them.

These meats can vary from beef, eggs, elk, turkey, venison, chicken, emu, fish and rabbit. They can be prepared for the animal as a whole or in parts. The smaller animals can be enjoyed as a whole because your pet can handle them this way. These include rabbit and fish. Dogs love it!

Some people will be interested in home made dog edibles but will not know where they can get it. If you have a butcher in your local area you can always request that they keep the leftover meat that they don't use for you to give to your pet for homemade dog food recipes. When you are preparing it make sure that you wipe your counter after the process with white vinegar which is used as a disinfectant
