Rejuvenate Your Life With 5-Day Detox Diet

By Vanessa Summer

Every day life gets a little bit harder--there are bigger stressors, poisons in the air and foods we eat and drink and of course, the pressure of everyday life does not help much either. These can also have horrible effects on your body so every once in a while you need to cleanse your body. You may not think your body is becoming unhealthy because of the exhaust from cars, or the smoke in the air, but over time as it builds up inside, you will begin feeling the effects.

This is the reason it's good to go through a detoxification for your body and to help you get back your health both mentally and physically so that you can keep having healthy relationships with the people who surround you. Your body has this amazing ability for self healing and it has its own built in detoxification system but when too many pollutants can build up, it needs a bit of help. When the tissues in your body take on far too much stress, they start to malfunction which can lead to a bunch of different diseases and have a dreadful effect on the detox process. To help your body get purged, there is a 5-day detox plan that will not only rejuvenate your body, but your spirit as well.

The 5-day detox plan features a cleansing diet, in which some foods are avoided altogether, and consists of many fruits and green, leafy vegetables. When undergoing a detoxification, fats, oils, preservatives and food additives must be eliminated, completely. As they are tough to digest, you should keep away from meat during these days as well--or at least a couple of them. A few of the foods that are great for this diet regime include garlic, beets, beans, broccoli and nuts. The one thing you ought to drink aside from water (the universal solvent) during one of these diets is grapefruit juice. A major factor in the detoxification is water, which removes toxins out of your body in the forms of urine, stool and perspiration.

You actually eat less food on a cleansing diet, but you are not going to starve. Since you're only going to be eating healthy foods during your detox diet, you will notice that you have quite increased stamina. If you are unsure about the detoxification procedure, you might want to meet with a nutritionist or professional to find the best one for your body. As the toxins get flushed out of your body, you'll feel worse but if you carry on you'll get lots of new energy as well as better alertness both physically and mentally. Everyone knows how vital it is to be clean on the outside, but not everyone thinks about what goes on inside their body.

You know yourself how well you are feeling, and if you feel run down in the least, you need to consider a detox program. Just living in a polluted environment is putting toxins in your body, and they can't be averted.
