Kalamazoo MI Apartments Parking

By Regie Elester

Since many apartment-hunters undergo a walk-through with regards their apartments, much of the details are focused on the room and amenities inside the building and the parking is left out of the picture. Only upon moving in do you notice that something seem to be wrong. You instantly realize that the apartment is seriously missing parking space and you and your hubby even have separate cars at that.

Many apartment buildings are looking for spots in and around the downtown metro. Being in heart of the city would mean easy access; it brings convenience as most businesses, schools, malls and entertainment converge here. Thus, it is not surprising that many apartment complexes are being built here. However, the problem lies not only in the square footage of the apartment units but also the parking space which can no longer be accommodated by the property. They even tried ground and rooftop parking but it still lacks enough space for the growing parking needs of the customers.

Some apartments like the Kalamazoo MI apartments are lucky as most have options of using wide, open parking spaces and covered structure that are free standing or attached to the wall with carports. Most homes have garages that can protect the vehicles. While garages have four walls, carports are usually built with two allowing more ventilation. Others are not as lucky though that they are forced to parking in the open streets where their vehicles are exposed to such problems like car stealing, weather damages and towing.

Since you cannot put an X mark on your spot and expect them not to park there you should have a good attitude about it. Getting into a fight over a parking space will lead to nothing. Be patient enough and do not let this problem get into you. You can try other options like taking carpooling or sharing a ride with a friend. Unless you are okay with losing your car and taking a ride, you should try looking for other apartments like Drakes Pond apartments in Kalamazoo which offers vast open spaces and even your own garage for parking. Kalamazoo MI apartments are near the metro downtown that you can also try taking public transportation.

If you are stuck with the situation, make things positive by having other options about your parking issues. Try car-sharing, carpooling, walking, taking public transportation, or losing your car (though I think you would not have this last option). If you are feeling dismayed channel all your thinking to good ones by thinking you are saving money and saving Mother Earth. .
