My Ex Ignores Me After the Break Up

A relationship ending is bad enough but it the breakup happens with both parties angry then this is definitely worse. It can be tough if your ex decides that they hate the ground you walk on and therefore do not make the effort of being civil to you. If you’re worrying about “my ex ignores me, what did I do wrong?” then read on and find out exactly why this is happening.

After the relationship ends, couple who become good friends experience an emotional high. It feels great to know that even with the break up, you have grown and matured as an individual. This is why when your ex decides not to have anything to do with you at all after the break up, you are entering the “my ex ignores me” phase and it makes you feel as though you did something wrong. Ultimately, you start to think that you weren’t really that good in the relationship.

Now if you are asking yourself “my ex ignores me, what did I do wrong?” then perhaps it’s time that you review the relationship and figure out what happened prior to the break up. If you never said sorry for your actions then this is the best time to do so. If you can’t remember anything, then think about it some more â€" perhaps your ex thinks you did something wrong that you didn’t think was such a big deal. You can’t apologize for something you don’t know. This will only make them hate you more.

If you’ve done everything you can and you’re still in the “my ex ignores me” phase then chances are your ex is only doing this to cope with the recent break up. For them, the best way to hide their feelings of depression and longing is by pretending that it doesn’t exist. Although it may not be the right way to approach a break up, this is the best way your ex knows to deal with the situation. If you’re the one who wants to conclude the relationship peacefully, then you have no problems with the break up. Exercise some understanding and realize that their best form of defense is by ignoring your existence.

If your ex is ignoring you merely because they don’t really care about you anymore, then simply accept this fact and move on. Some people prefer not to deal with their exes after the break up even if their ex wants to be friends. Perhaps your ex doesn’t really see the two of you becoming friends and would rather forget the past. It may be sad at first but you have to stop lingering at the “my ex ignores me” phase and move on with your life.

There are many reasons that could be behind your ex’s choice to ignore you. Perhaps they are already dating again and do not want to make the other jealous by seeing you.
