Bought this for use at home and it does a lovely job of keeping me comfortable. The design is simple and it works well.
All in all, I was disappointed. I really need a portable fan since I live in the desert, but this was not the one and I will attempt to try others. If this product has cost $20 buck we probably would have kept it but it was definitely not worth $50. My husband?s been complaining about the heat for a while and I bought this to hopefully cool him down.
If anyone�s used one of those let me know how it is. For the actual handy cooler I'm happy with the performance and content that I picked it. This small fan delivers cool air flow! I'm building model ships in my garage and I get very hot in my crammed little workspace and needing something not only moves airflow well, but can help keep me stay cool.
I am happy that I purchased this ingenious product. This is the first fan ever that uses swamp cooling/water cooling in a unit so small that it can be easily carried in your hands. The noise at high-speed is a total non-issue; trust me, the engines drown it out completely. If you're ordering one of these for your sailor, I recommend the pink one. I am always travelling and driving to hot places and it gets very uncomfortable sometimes, so my friend lent me his handy cooler and it has made all the difference in the world! I bought my own last week and I'm glad I did.
It is quiet (there is a hum, but it's a standard white noise). I just purchased my second one and it's $10 cheaper now - they want to get rid of the stock before summer ends? I would also assume that a compatible A/C adaptor could be purchased for it. This is less bulky that a typical fan and will the moist sponge it will cool the surrounding air to provide adequate relief. I'm so glad I came across this item. How I ever lived without it all those hot grueling spring & summer days I'll never know.
This product is suspect the motor gave out after a week and is cheaply made. I emailed the manufacturer and they did suggest sending it back but with the hassle of sending it back and getting the same thing again I decided not to.

I'm very happy with this particular window fan. If you turn off the lights within the room it is very noticeable and distracting. Gibson Air Conditioner. Even though I have central air, I possibly could not get the MBR about the third flooring cool. It is not an easy unit. ductless mini split air conditioner.
