A Handful Of Mold Types We Should Better Keep Away From

By Roy Forchet

There are some things in life that our bodies have learned to lived with. For most people they may be a bit bothersome but nothing we can't tolerate. The same follows for mold types that are known to invade the average home on a regular basis. There are some varieties that do need to be destroyed as soon as they are spotted before they can render a person with a severe illness.

Certain parts of the home are more susceptible to this kind of fungus than others. Basements, bathrooms, and kitchens are the most likely places due to their damp nature. These moisture filled areas make a great breeding ground for this fungi.

Most mold is non-toxic and poses little threat to the majority of people. Symptoms will include nothing more than a stuffy or runny nose. Anyone who is asthmatic may find they are bothered more. This also holds true for people that have problems with their immune system. One type of this fungus is highly toxic and must be kept at bay.

There are three main types of this fungus. The first is known as allergenic. As the name implies it will cause allergy like symptoms in people who are susceptible to it. It can flourish in the spring when the winter snows begin to melt and the area you live in is wet and damp. Again from July to late summer an abundance of these spores can be found in many areas and become airborne.

Pathogenic forms can be a cause of infection. While healthy people are seldom afflicted, anyone with a suppressed immune system or other illness could be a candidate for problems. The most acute response to pathogenic fungi is hypersensitivity pneumonitis.

The best case scenario is irritation induced problems by toxigenic mold. Also referred to as black mold, it is the most serious of the three types. Exposure has been known to cause severe health risks and even cancer related cases have been documented.

With the exception of some minor allergic reactions, most molds can co-exist with man. Once embedding itself in a an area, the fungi will continue to spread and it should be removed to stop the spread. Even if it is not causing a problem; it is an unsightly growth.

There are different methods that can be used for removal and they can easily be found on the computer. Follow all directions exactly as told or the problem will continue returning. Keep yourself safe while removing it by making use of hand protection, goggles, and a face mask. Make your home fungus free quickly and easily.
