Traveling in Europe is a wonderful idea if you love ancient beauty and would like a learning experience that you can touch. There are many sights both believed to be magical as well as spiritual in Europe as well as some loaded in an energy that you can feel and makes you feel good. Even though this is the second smallest continent it has 50 countries each with its own sights and beleifs that are all beautiful.
Wiltshire, England- Stonehenge is located about two miles west of Amesbury in the town of Wiltshire. This amazing site was built between 3100-100 B. C. E.; before Common Era, and contradictory to popular belief Druids had nothing to do with the erecting of these stones. They are considered to have magical powers if you were to wash the stones and then bathe in that same water it is believed that it would heal sickness.
Buckingham Palace, London- Buckingham palace is the formal home of the Queen in London. This is where the Royal Family entertains state affairs as well as family all getting together. During the months of august and September part of the palace is open to tourist which includes 19 staterooms, the ball room and the gardens.
Paris, France- the amazing Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 for a World Fair and was named after the builder Gustave Eiffel. It was only supposed to last for twenty years but with the towns work and efforts it is still standing today. You can take an elevator all the way to the top and take in the breath taking view of Paris just like 6,000,000 people do every year. You can also visit the restaurants and shops while you are visiting the Eiffel Tower. The magic of the Eiffel Tower has even been used for weddings.
Tuscany, Italy- Tuscany is home to the Leaning Tower of Pisa which took 177 years to build. As the second floor was started it started to sink and construction was halted. 100 years later the building had settled the soft dirt underneath and construction restarted and now we have the beautiful sight as well as a funny photo moment.
Sligo, Ireland- Tobar Nalt Holy Well with its beautiful cold, clear water that bubbles up at the base of a huge rock wall and flows down to Lock Gill is believed to be a magical spot. This well and its water have been thought to have healing powers and have been used by soldiers as well as civilians alike for healing purposes. There is a healing stone that you can lean back onto and it is believed to heal back problems. Strategically placed on top of this stone is four indentions believed to be left by Saint Patrick and if you rest your fingers in them it will transfer some of the Saints powers to you.
Sounion Cape, Greece- The Temple of Poseidon was built here in 440 B. C. It was a gift to Poseidon the King of the Sea which the people believed these types of gifts guaranteed them safety from the wrath of the gods and to keep the fishermen safe while out on their boats. They believed that when Poseidon was angry with them that was when the storms would come up on the water and with the lack of technology in that day there were a lot of deaths due to drowning. The Temple is a beautiful and magical sight with only 18 pillars still standing you can feel the energy while there.
